Hard Times

Have you struggles, straining?
Tired, but, miraculously, maintaining?
Looking for that blessed big break,
Hoping it comes soon, to ease the aches?
Until then, to try not to cry, you grin,
You bear it, knowing it has to end.
Don’t know when, don’t know how,
But just got to keep going, somehow.
No use in always wondering why.
Instead use your energy on your next try,
Your next endeavor to move ahead.
Keep striving, never let hope go dead.
Though the times be tough, they won’t last.
You have been tried and prevailed in the past.
God’s mercy and grace brought you through.
He can use hard times to bring out the best in you.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. Psalms 33:18-22
