The me I was.

The me I was.
The me I was is past.
The me I was could not last.
The me I was is no longer me.
The me I was ceded to the me I am becoming to be.

We can't be who we used to be, but we can embrace who we are, and who we are becoming. Love who you were, but live who you are and love the you, you are becoming in HIM.

Dream a dream

Dream a dream of hope
Of hope in the deepest scope
Dream a dream of love
Of love divinely from up above
Dream a dream of peace
Of peace and soul at ease
Dream a dream of light
Of light that transforms the night
Dream a dream of Christ
Of Christ who sacrificed what sufficed

Dare to dream. Peace, love, and sweet dreams. #GOoDnight

In the rain...

In the rain

Falling tears are hidden
Young hearts are smitten
In the rain
Hopes are drowned
Refreshing joy is found
In the rain
Plans are doused
Opportunity is roused
In the rain
There is give and take...

Stir up love...

Stir up love... Love will grip you. Love will trip you. Love will flip you. Love will brighten, heighten, and some, frighten. Love will shaken, awaken, and fill your heart with joy at being taken. Love is powerful, pleasing, and prospering. Love will embrace whoever, hearten you to face whatever, and conjure up dreams of forever. Stir up love...

Love is...

Love is...

Love is a command
Love is a commitment
Love is a challenge
Love is a chance
Love is a confirmation
Love is a choice
Love is a charge
Love is a cause

Love is...

America~a people of self determination. A melting pot from a plethora of nations. A people pressed to push back against oppressive power. A self empowered lot, who seize their hour. A people that take the reins of destiny and fight to live and be free to be.

God turn our hearts unto THEE...

Lit with darkness
Stupefied with smartness
Dead while living
Unaware, don't care
Appetite for destruction
Enamored with evil
Chasing optical illusions
Informed, yet ignorant
Walking in delusion
Obsessed with self
Loving the mirror
Hating the reflection
Make a life
Break a life
Take a life
Glorying in shame
Crying silent tears
Shouting out loud
Pushing away help
Want world change
Start with self

Wake up...

Moves the heart
Unleashes passion
Soothes the soul
Invigorates the senses
Commandeers the being

Makes you move
Unites hearts
Sounds the alarms
Informs the masses
Channels myriad voices

Mystifies, magnifies
Unchains the bound
Satisfies the longing
Inspires new rhythms
Commemorates a generation

The Challenge of Time...

The Challenge of Time…

Time ushered in our start,
The first beat of our heart.
Time called us forth to grow.
In time, it will cause us to slow.
Time races on; time stands still.
Wasted time is as a bitter pill.
Time will train you, drain you.
Time will strain you, stain you.
We are oft to try to hurry time.
We loathe time leaving us behind.
Time is a measure to judge you,
Subtle to nudge, abrupt to budge you.
Time stops, and yet, never ceases.
Time ails, but time also eases.
It gives, it takes; it builds, it breaks.
It runs from us and catches up with us.
It allows us to make our mark,
Then it makes its mark on us.
Time helps us remember.
Time causes us to forget.
Time holds memories we savor,
And harbors moments we regret.
We bottle time in pictures,
But over time, even they fade.
We study time in history,
But even history is lost in age.
We run, racing against the winding clock,
Dreading the finish line,
And the thought of being docked.
But, Beloved, with the time left,
LIVE—‘til your very last breath.
Take time to laugh, love, think, do, and be.
Make time to pause and reflect, sentimentally.
Praise the Father, Author of time and eternity,
For gifting you with time, purpose, and being.
And though time be a challenge, an enigma,
Embrace and employ the challenge and gift of time.

I Owe Jesus
