The Struggle...

The Struggle...

Tis seemingly my lot to struggle.
Hard as it may be for me,
Each day I give what I've got,
Sometimes running on empty.
Though, I'm oft beset with trials,
Responsibilities, still also, I have.
Undertake them myself, I shall.
Going forth is my blessed salve.
God gave me life, will, and wit.
Life is for living, despite how tough it gets.
Everyday I'm striving, though I struggle.

The Struggle...

Be alert, be aware, be accommodating. Not everyone is spry, svelte, and swift in running this race called life. The aged, the overwhelmed, the ability challenged have hurts and halts that oft hinder spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We oft see the struggle without discerning nor really concerning ourselves with the depth of their difficulty, nor the height of their desire to be and do for themselves despite everything against them. The little old man driving 30 in a 45 everyday is trying to live. The little old lady that keeps repeating herself incessantly is just trying to live. So many of us are in such a rush we're oft running over folk we should be running to, to help out. Oft not discerning, one day, and it may be sooner than we think-it could be me or it could be you in the struggle of our lives.

Mother's Day Meditation

Mother's Day Meditation

My life was lit from within your womb.
From then till now, for me, you made room.
I was your burden and your blessing,
A measure of your success, a cause for stressing.
You savored all of the joyous times of this life,
Yet, you endured, even when trials cut like a knife.
In the seasons of my being, you were my one constant.
No matter my problems, you were a faithful confidant.
You nursed and nurtured me, watched me grow.
Then stepped back, let me flex my wings, and let me go.
Even when time and circumstance had us apart,
I praise God you were keeping me on your heart.
Though, I have made you smile, laugh, and even cry,
Your love is yet evident in the twinkle in your eye.
I am here because you have always been there.
You're my angel from God, a mother beyond compare.

Happy Mother's Day - To the Mama's

Don't Employ Worry

Beloved, don't employ worry to help you through.

Many have gave worry a try and found out that Worry won't work for you.  But, worry will sure work on you, wearing you out and wearing you down. Worry will work against you, warding off joy, wilting hope, and wresting from you peace and sweet rest.

If I were you, I would fire worry and hire faith, fortitude, and firmness of purpose trusting the Father as I move forward to make me fruitful. HELLO, Somebody! Cut worry out, before worry do you in.

Folk that done had enough of worry approves this message...lol...

Footprints in the Sands of Time...

Footprints in the Sands of Time...

Envision, endeavor, embark.
Go forth, make your mark.
In the now, perform what lasts.
Knowing the now will too be past.
Whether with your crowd or alone,
Enjoy it, as you journey along.
Though tides of time come ashore,
Washing away memories of before.
That you do, do from your heart,
That your works endure after you part.
Though shifting sands of time oft erase,
The FATHER remembers your every trace.
HE has been there caring for you with love.
Leading your way to heavenly shores above.

Footprints in the Sands of Time...

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. -1 Thessalonians 2:12

Walk on by faith...

Everyday won't be full of sunshine colored with the beauty of a bed of roses. There will be dark days, lonely nights, sad seasons, unexpected occurrences, and painful periods. At times you'll feel like you're on top of the world and sometimes you'll feel like the world is on top of you. You'll meet folks you'll love dearly and some you may regret you ever met. There'll be times you're confident you're on the right track and times you'll wonder 'where in the world am I at?' Things will come together, stuff will fall apart, and there may be days where a plethora of emotions flood your heart. You'll hurt; you'll  heal. You'll laugh; you'll cry. There may be times when you're dazed and confused. There'll be moments when things seem so terribly bad and yet you'll be amused. That's life. The good, the bad, and the ugly. It's a journey. The joy in the journey is knowing the God who authored your story. Throughout the journey, HE's watching over you, watching out for you, watching you grow as HIS child through all the beginnings and endings, commas and periods, plot changes and twists, and all that it takes to make up your life story. Trust in HIM at ALL times that some kind of way, HE's working things out for your good. HE loves and has beautiful a life planned for you with a happily eternally after, as in with no ending. Walk on by faith, Beloved. Walk on by faith.

Trust in HIM through troublesome times...

Why? Why me? Why this? Why now? Why this long? What did I do wrong? You won't always understand and neither do you have to. But, you always MUST trust HIM, because of what you know about HIM and despite what you don't understand about the trials and seasons you may be going through. God is sovereign. God Loves you. God is faithful to you. God is true to you. God is good to you. God has a purpose for you. God has a plan for you. God is with you, if you are with HIM. God is in control. God is working things out for your good. So why not you?

So keep the faith, even in the midst of the unknowns, because of the God you know and who knows you and is concerned about all the things concerning you. Trust and obey.

Rise and Shine...

Some folks favorite spot for you is BENEATH them. But know you're already ABOVE their pettiness. So don't stoop DOWN to their level trying to prove what the Father has already revealed in and through you-equal and yet by favor and grace by the Father's own choosing, more honorable.

Your elevation causes them aggravation. The more you rise, the more they despise. In jealousy they talk about what you ain't and what you can't. Though you come in peace, they feel threatened. They have a bad case of pride yet intermingled with low self esteem. Their worth is derived upon their performance and the accolades they receive. They don't like nobody stealing their thunder. Your realness and rawness is of God. God is using you to set a new standard that is based upon the old landmark - you understand it's not about you, but it's all about God. They think you're trying to backdoor your way to influence. But God has already given you the key to the new locks HE's putting on the front door that you may have unhindered access and freedom to do HIS will. RISE and SHINE...

Psalm 18:46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted. 47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me. 48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. 49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.

Due date nigh...

Due date nigh... The pain in your life is foreshadowing a birth. You're in labor for a blessing. The contractions are grievous but it's leading to something greater. The closer it gets to the delivery of what you've been waiting for the more difficult it will get, but breathe. Through the pain, speak into your spirit the promises God made you. Discipline yourself to endure the full process to get what you've got coming. Think about how good it's going to be, when this birthing process is finished and you're beholding and enjoying the manifestation of what you've waited so long for.

Due date nigh - Breathe - Believe...Recite...Envision...Affirm...Train...Hold on...Expect...

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: -Isaiah 1:19

I wasn't supposed to be the one...

I wasn't supposed to be the one... Too quiet to be heard... Too shy to speak... Too paralyzed to move... Too out of the loop to be in on what's up and what's going down... Too unenlightened to be a light... Too weak to be strong... Too poor to enrich... Too narrow minded to see the big picture... I wasn't supposed to be the one who would teach and tear down what Satan built up. I wasn't supposed to be the one who would preach and make heaven glad and hell mad. I wasn't supposed to be the one to inspire folk to see, seek, and serve the Almighty God. I wasn't supposed to be the one, BUT GOD! Hallelujah, JESUS! BUT GOD! Lord, Thank YOU!

But by the grace of God I am what I am... -1 Corinthians 15:10

In silence she still speaks...

In silence, she still speaks in her unique voice, seriously stern or syrupy sweet. She could always see past your drama to diagnose what was really going on with you. She was superwoman and could do any and everything you needed her to. Her love was ever there with a warm embrace and even in her scolding glare. She kissed away your pain, was your umbrella in the rain. She plucked you off the line when it seemed life had hung you out to dry. And even when you were grown and on your own, she would still wipe tears from your eye. She poured her life into you to build you up, make you strong and it was a joy for her to do. But she had to go away. She didn't come here to stay. She was there to prepare you, help you find your way. She knew one day she would be gone and she wanted you to make it on your own. But you'll never be alone because she's ever near. Her words you'll ever hear. In the silence, she shall speak.

That's the power of real mother for you... In the silence, she still speaks.

Extraordinary.

To the misfit, the out of place, the out of the box-your difference makes a difference to the God who made you different. Your YOU-niqueness, HE ordained. Your life, HE's maintained. Your labor for HIM will not be in vain. The established don't understand you. You don't even understand you. You just do what HE commands you. Some are conflicted about you. Just don't be conflicted within you. This conflict surrounding you is from HE who testifies through you. You were made by HIM, for HIM, to walk with HIM. HIS enemies will test you for they detest HIM, but they can't arrest you from HIS purpose for you. You have a place, but look and don't see a place, because your glorious place is in HIM.  Be, do, live as HE commands. You're in HIS hands. And HE will ensure you will be one of the last ones standing. You're called in HIM, by HIM to be EXTRAORDINARY!

Planted with purpose...

You may not like your place, but then again you might not comprehend the full blessedness of your position. Sometimes you can feel stuck and yet be utterly successful. A fruit plant in a flower pot that seems stuck still bears fruit. Joseph seemed stuck in Egypt, but in every situation, God made HIM successful, whether Potiphar's house or jail cell. Jesus was stuck on the cross, but the fruit that HE bore there produced for us eternal life. You might feel stuck, but in the Spirit you're providentially placed and free to be all that God would have you to be in that circumstance. May HE open your eyes to behold the good you are doing or can do right where you are until such time as HE plants you elsewhere.

Revelation at the Cross.

If you want to know how God feels about sin, look at Jesus' suffering on the cross for our sin. If you want to know how much God loves sinners, look at Jesus sacrificing HIMSELF for our salvation on the cross. If you want to know how to be free from sin, turn from your sin in faith believing in your heart in what Jesus did for you at the cross.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 6:23

Get right.

Father give us wisdom and discernment so that we don't spend all our power and precious provision, for the wrong purpose, in the wrong position, with the wrong people, at the wrong place, at the wrong period of time. If necessary, with tender mercy and loving kindness, push, pull, or drag us to where we're supposed to be that we may prosper and be as productive and profitable as we should be.

God's been just that good.

God's been just that good. Kept me day by day, even when I didn't know to look HIS way. Forgave my foolishness. Ordained my fruitfulness. Lifted me up out of sin. Gifted me to build others from within. Stretched me to stand tall. There to catch me when I fall. Lit my fire. Made fit my desire. Gave my heart a song. Daily making me strong. When I'm down HE picks me up. When I'm empty HE fills my cup. Ever watching over me. Ever guiding me. Endows me with fresh mercy and grace that keeps a smile on my face. I've failed HIM so many times. Yet, HE confirms to my heart, "you're mine." I bless HIM for making me whole, giving me eternal life, saving my soul. Never leaves me alone, inspires me, no matter my trouble, to just run on. What a mighty God! God's been just that good.
