A Right to
BE…
To the
eye, there are many differences about us that are plain to see. But, because I
am as you are, only human, you still should respect my right to be.
We may
have come from different directions as we meet at the crossroads of destiny.
But, because I am as you are, striving to make the most of the life I’ve been
given, you still should respect my right to be.
In our
thought and in our practice, there may be great disparity. But, because I am as
you are, using the intellect and understanding that I have, you still should
respect my right to be.
Our
values, our voice, and our views may reflect our diversity. But, because I am
as you are, living by the beliefs that I hold dear to me, you still should
respect my right to be.
We all were
made by the hand and in the image of the one true God of glory. And, if for no
other reason than this, you still should respect my right to be.
