I am Becoming…
I’m not what I should be,
For my defects deterred me.
I’m better than what I used to be,
For Jesus laid His hands on me.
He’s making me what I ought to be,
Perfecting and maturing me.
I’m not all that I’m going to be.
So be careful, how you judge me.
I may not be all you want me to be.
But, know the Lord is yet refining me.
I pray you’ll become all you can be.
And you, likewise, pray for me.

And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
