LORD I RELEASE ALL THESE THINGS TO YOU

LORD I RELEASE ALL THESE THINGS TO YOU
(Written by Minister Sherry Ivy)

A lot of times we try to hold on to things that God is trying to set us free from. So start releasing every thing that’s going on in your life right now to God so He can set you free. When God set you free you won’t have the desire to do these things again because you will be free indeed. “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36) These are just a few of the many things I’m releasing to God:

Revenge – When people keep doing wrong things to us, our first reaction is to get even. But Jesus said we are to do good to those who wrong us, our desire should not be to get revenge, because the Lord said vengeance is His and He will repay those that wrong us. All He wants us to do is love, forgive and pray for them and He will give us the strength we need to do this. Because repaying evil for evil will hurt us as much as it hurts our enemy. “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” (Roman12:19)

Thoughts of suicide – Sometimes the enemy will fool you to get things he knows you can’t afford. Then he will cause you to get fired from your job so you can’t draw unemployment with no money coming in your bills will begin to get behind and bill collectors will begin calling you every day putting you under a lot of pressure and threaten to take your processions if you can’t come up with the money before the week is out. Once this happen, the enemy will begin to plant thoughts of committing suicide in your mind. But don’t listen to him, start quoting (Psalm 118:17) “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” And your thoughts of suicide will disappear.

Rejection – Rejection is one of the worse feelings we can have. Jesus suffered many things and was rejected from people He helped. He also suffered rejection from His disciple Judas whom He walked with daily. As children of God, we will suffer many things and will be rejected by people who work beside us everyday on our jobs and by people who sit right beside us in church. “But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.” (Luke 17:25)

Secret faults – Secret faults are sins that we are unaware of. That’s why we should pray asking God to forgive us our sins even our little no harm sins so we will cover all sins because secret faults are faults hidden to ourselves and others but not to God. Sin is sin, even if we are not aware of it. So our confession should always cover hidden sins. God fully and completely forgives us even for those sins we do unknowingly. “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults.” (Psalm 19:12)

So be encouraged today and always remember there is nothing to hard for God. “Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)
