HE CAME—as angels heralded, a star pointed the way,

To where baby Jesus, the newborn King lay.

HE SAW grown men come to give HIM glory,

For HE is the Author that would forever alter their story.

HE CONQUERED hearts even as a little child,

At HIS person, promise, men praised God, men smiled.

           

HE CAME, in answer to the soul of man’s cry,

To lift those who would believe up on high.

HE SAW, how Satan, sin, and shame,

Had rendered our very promise lame.

HE CONQUERED sin, death, hell, and the grave.

At the cross, HE gave HIS life for our soul, to save.

HE CAME as a gift of the Father’s grace,

To adopt us into the family to ever behold our Father’s face.

HE SAW us with HIM from the very start.

HIS love for us kept us always upon HIS heart.

HE CONQUERED everything that could keep us away.

JESUS’ presence is the best gift to enjoy on Christmas Day.

Sometimes life forces you to divorce your fantasy that you may marry your reality. At times you must lose replica riches that you may gain real wealth. There will come a time when you must let go of the unnecessary and overwhelming pressure of living to keep up your reputation to be recognized by mere men that you may press your way into your God ordained purpose for which you were birthed. The day will come when your image will not be as important to you as your intention to please the God who imagined you in HIS heart, initiated you by HIS Spirit, and introduced you to the world by HIS hands. HE is calling you upward to a life that nothing else in the world can offer you. Let go of your idols and incline your being to HIM.

Pondering a paradise...

Men who would prefer to live in a paradise must be willing to perform the responsibilities for the preservation of that paradise—sacrifice, self control, serving not just for self but for the good of others, and adhering to righteous standards for all including being accountable, educating ourselves, and endeavoring to reach our potential.

We may pray to God to make for us a paradise and HE can and HE has. But, HE entrusts men to work together with and under HIM and with one another to dress and keep it. When we pray to HIM to do everything while we do as we please, we frustrate grace, our potential, and ourselves. Somebody oughta must become I will.

Rather than to talk of doing and hiding out in fear, we must get it in gear and walk the talk to make our communities all that they could be. Pointing fingers while doing nothing is unproductive. All peoples within the community must act together, pray, plan, perform, and be accountable and hold one another accountable to make positive change.

The real crime today is the crime of apathy, ignorance, self-centeredness, and the acceptance of declining morals.

Men who would prefer to live in a paradise must be willing to perform the responsibilities for the preservation of that paradise—Honoring God not just with words but in deeds toward HIM and one another.

And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. Genesis 2:15

I counsel thee to keep the king's commandment, and that in regard of the oath of God. Be not hasty to go out of his sight: stand not in an evil thing; for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him. Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou? Ecclesiastes 8:2-4

A sovereign God may do as HE pleases, when HE pleases, how HE pleases, where HE pleases, to whom HE pleases. HE does not owe us an explanation. We cannot vote HIM in nor vote HIM out. We cannot impeach HIM. We cannot force HIM to do our will. HE is not intimidated by us. HE does not tremble at our collective measly might. HE is not confounded by our combined meager knowledge and limited understanding.

                                          

It is best for us to simply trust HIM. Submit fully to HIS will as we pray, “THY will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” And even as HE allows things we understand not, let us not get beside ourselves and try to act as God, and impose our woeful will but just purely let HIM be God knowing HE’s still in control and all things are working together for our good to them that love HIM. And if HE’s still in control let us show that we know this by seeking and obeying HIS will for the lives HE has given us, knowing we have a day coming where we shall give an account to HIM of our actions, beliefs, and communication.

Rise and Shine, Beloved… Yes, God is real, real in my soul. Yes, God is real for HE has washed and made me whole. HIS love for me is like pure gold. Yes, God is real for I can feel HIM in my soul. Let everything that has breath praise HIM. A good Monday to you and yours, PEACE…

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know HIM that is true, and we are in HIM that is true, even in HIS Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Ucan’tPleaseEverybody… It takes backbone to be able and willing to stand alone. Everybody doesn’t have to agree with you and neither do you have to agree with everybody. But I do pray that you agree with God and have the nerve to stand with HIM and for HIM even if you have to do it all by yourself. And there will come a time/s when you will have to do just that… And HE may not take your weight, your burden or test, but HE will strengthen and have your back… And if HE be for you…….

If you be too easily impressed, you will most likely be too easily deceived… All that glitters is not gold and neither is everything that simply sounds good. Satan attracts so he can distract and then subtract from you the most valuable thing he can get. Be discerning or the devil will leave you burning…

Is there an EAGLE in you?

Is there an EAGLE in you? Don't need a crowd to validate you... Got discernment of things earthly and heavenly... Watchful and attentive to the goings on of your surroundings...  Can see storms coming, but are not overly disturbed by them... Possess wisdom to use the power of the storm to elevate over it... Can spot opportunities for blessing from a distance and seize them... Can overcome, outwit, and outlast foes... Can endure catastrophe and be left standing when all else around has been destroyed, because you know when and how to take shelter... Can advance alone or when its good can partner up with another for sustenance and service... Loyal to the one you're in a relationship with, handling your responsibilities... Are an inspiration, a great example to others, just being you and doing the simple things with excellence that you do... Don't have to flail through life, but glide along on the wind of the Spirit, using just what the Father provided you. Bring forth beauty, dignity, and grace no matter the surroundings bringing glory to God, your Maker, Sustainer, your SALVATION... Is there an EAGLE in you?

The giant is in front of you so you that can manifest The GIANT that is inside of you... Don't fear, faith it forward, and claim your promise land...

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

Dig in a lil’ deeper…




Broken dreams, broken bonds marked my way,

With hurt so bad there were no words to say.

I did all I could to make it through the day.

Bitterness stained my complexion.

Silence was my best expression.

Paralysis robbed me of direction.

Life—the whole thing was blurred.

But, one day Your word, I heard.

That day, my spirit, You stirred.

I prayed and I prayed and I prayed.

I sought Your word in the decisions I made.

You made me strong, wouldn’t let me fade.

Your love prompts my spirit to rejoice.

I thought we had more time…




I had it all planned,

The details are, yet, etched in my mind.

We were going to do this and do that,

But, that dream has fallen flat.

All seemed to be going so well,

So I chose not to rush or make a fuss.

I just knew we had more time,

To live and to love as dear ones do.

To get together and do whatever,

Just as long as it was me with you.

But out of the blue, poof, you’re gone.

All I have left is a heart of regret,

And precious memories, I can never forget.

With your absence, my life’s rhythm—

Does not have the same rhyme.

Missing you, wishing you were here with me.

Yet, I know that just cannot be.

That Happy Place


Beloved, I pray you’ll find your happy place. That place where the smile on your heart is the spring for the smile upon your face. That place of peace, that place of grace, that place of wisdom, that place of power, that leaves a trail of good others can trace.

That place where your joy drowns out your sorrows and despite all the difficulty you’ve experienced, you still got great hope for tomorrow. That place where stress stretches your hand, reaching up to your Heavenly Father, trusting HIM to help you overcome all this world’s bother.

That place where sweet love, pure love finds and refines you. That place where you feel adored, all you do prospers, and where life is much too interesting for you to ever be bored. That place where you know, you’re never alone, because with JESUS, you’ve found a forever friend and a permanent home.

Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord. Ps144:15

I’m Still Here…

With all I’ve been through,
I thank God, I’m still here.
I’ve loved, I’ve learned, I’ve laughed,
Had sorrow, shed many a’ tear.
I’ve gained much, lost plenty,
Things, precious and people, dear.
I’ve stood, I’ve stumbled,
Been dumbfounded, had fear.
I’ve been doubted, felt routed,
Had much to say, no one to hear.
I survived the good, bad, and ugly,
Battled my past toward a future, unclear.
Perhaps you could’ve done it better,
Being adept, in all things top tier.
But, God made us all unique.

Just do it the right way.
Speak the truth in love,
Show you’ve been reborn from above.
Pray for the right timing, spirit, and words.
Pray that the right message be sent and rightly heard.
Been done wrong? Express how you feel.
Talk it out, forgive, and be healed.
Maybe you weren’t the one that started it,
But you surely can be the one to end it.
You don’t have to huff and puff as the Big Bad Wolf reflected.
You can be courageous, confident, and collected.
Be thoughtful in what you say,
The right words can make a person’s day.
Words can heal the wounded from their strife.
Words have saved some from ending their life.
Speak to affirm, inform, and hold accountable.

Love in such a way as to get on folks’ nerves…

I have been blessed of God to share on several occasions with a particular Head Start Preschool class, reading, singing, memorizing the letters and numbers. One day as I was preparing to leave, saying my good-byes the lil’ kiddos ran and blocked all the exits, refusing to let me go. I was stunned, taken by surprise. But, it was absolutely awesome. They were working on my nerves because I had worked on their nerves—in a good way.

Beloved, show some love today.

Love so generously that you make others rich. Love so deeply that you fill other’s void. Love so compassionately that you compel others to care. Love so purely that you make others to feel secure. Love so powerfully that you build other’s strength. Love in such a way as people love to see you coming and loathe seeing you leave. Love with such an impact that your imprint is still there even when you are gone. Love like God, with a true love that endures.

Don’t QUIT…It’s hard, admit it, but buckle down and don’t quit…Yeah, you’ve thought about it many times—giving up—but man/woman-up and don’t quit…Sure some folks said you could never do it, you wasn’t good enough, smart enough, tough enough—but them nay Sayers are wrong—prove IT! Don’t quit…Your goal is good, noble, and right, and to top it off—it’s within sight—DON’T QUIT…Tell the devil it’s best he get gone…Speak unto your obstacles, “I’m coming through!” Tell that mountain, “You got to move!” I got this! I’m gonna do it! Because, God got me and HE’s gonna help me do it! I AIN’T Gonna QUIT!

Rise and Shine, Beloved… …but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lord thy God loved thee. Deut23:5 Ooomph, oomph, oomph…JESUS!

They thought U weren’t gonna be nothing, but the Lord made something beautiful out of your life…They shunned U, thinking U would just go away, but the Lord gave U power to stay…They hung your name on the sign board, God wrote next to it “Now Starring”… They thought U would decrease, God brought increase…They attacked U, but God backed U…They tried to break U, God used them to make U…They walked away expecting U to fall apart, Jesus caused everything to come together…The devil thought he had U, at the cross Jesus came and grabbed U—now U’re saved, sanctified, and enjoying eternal blessings… God turned the curse into a blessing, ALL because HE loved Y-O-U. Beloved, LOVE HIM back…

Be perceptive… Love is not a one-sided lane to a dead-end, but a two-way street for free flowing mutual sharing to shared fulfillment… If you should desire to enter into a relationship with one who constantly intimates ‘I want to be loved’, this person may be letting you know in advance that they may have difficulty giving love because of their excessive desire to receive it. They may need your constant attention which can leave you feeling overwhelmed, under served, and unloved yourself… Their feelings may stem from a childhood void of the love they desired. Food for thought…Sometimes we just blindly jump in, not knowing what we’re jumping into or who we’re really jumping with…

Christian, Jesus said oughta settle it… Super smart scientific studies suggest you should switch this up and change that back every few years… But JESUS SAID… Christian, Jesus said, for us ought to be enough said… I’m sure most social scientists will continue to disagree. But then these same social scientists will have to give account to HIM in time to come… Beloved, be not conformed to the contrary to scripture customs, teachings, and principles of this world, but let Jesus transform your mind… Stand with HIM or fall for anything…

Breathe in, breathe out, take a step…Now praise God for progress…Repeat as often as needed to keep moving forward.

At times inhaling, exhaling, and taking one step is cause for great celebration…Every day is different and some more difficult than others. Make the most of each day, doing your best that day…Pray, push, pull, press, pause when apt, but just keep moving forward…

Major minors… Even in this age of the mega thrill seeking, super sensory overload, gotta go big for great joy to keep from being bored to death attitude of humanity, there are little things that have always and will always be of utmost important such as being there doing what it takes everyday, being faithful, caring, sharing, talking, walking together, face to face, cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, homework helping, being tender and tough when appropriate, hugging, kissing, waking up saying, “good morning.”, “I love you.”

Sometimes in our rush to go here, go yon, to this big event, that big happening, trying to buy, experience the latest hot thing, we run over, forget the little things that make life grand. There have not always been flavor of the second technologies that thrill the senses for a fleeting moment and yet seemingly ever dulling the mind at the same time and we still lived for thousands of years. But there were walks along the way, hand in hand, looking up at the stars at night, running, jumping, skipping, playing, loving…

We need to rethink where we are, where we’re going, we need to slow down, love more deeply, think more, talk less, listen up, enjoy the basics—me and you—us—enjoying each other, in touch, in tune, laboring, laughing, learning together, being family, being community…

In the folly of youth, that our lives may appreciate in value in our eyes, we upgrade the people and possessions that surround us that we may find happiness. But in the wisdom of age, we find true happiness is in valuing and appreciating the people and possessions that surround us for time, tears, trials, and understanding have helped us upgrade our perspective as to what matters most in life. You find that a new this or a new that just doesn’t compare with a true friend or loving family who just simply want to be wherever you’re at…

Begin, again.

Faltering, flailing,
Stuck, not sailing.
Rundown? Run over?
No lucky rabbit’s foot,
Nor four leaf clover.
Seems like more against you,
Than there are for you.
Just about had enough,
The road seems too tough?
Many burdens are on your heart.
Can’t get ‘crunk’, need a jumpstart?
Stop—but not to quit.
You are far too legit.
Take a dramatic pause,
A time to restructure your cause.
Make this a turning point for you.
Rediscover your groove, do what you got to do.
It is time to turn this ship around.
Get up off of that ground!

Rise and Shine, Beloved… Love somebody…

Love somebody…

Love brightens the face. There is a love that can never be replaced. Love can put a smile where there was a frown. Love can pick a person up when they are down. Love truly, tenderly, and let it be sweet, for love makes a real home complete. Everybody needs somebody to love. Everyone needs to know they are loved by the Father of heaven who daily showers us with love from HIS throne up above… Love now and love even more and better later. It is more blessed and rewarding to be a lover than a hater.

Love somebody…

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35

A real man stands for what is right, fighting the good fight for a just vision he has in his sight, and going after it with all his might—that’s the measure of a man. Real men stand with and for Jesus—the MAN. HE set the measure for man.

Medicinal Musings of a Meditative Mind…

HIS strength is perfect, especially when all your strength is gone…

If in your flight of life you are tired and beginning to flail, spread your wings as wide as you can and simply glide on the empowering wind of the Spirit… In the event you feel as though your strength is all gone, trustingly fall into the awaiting arms of your Heavenly Father who will catch, hold, comfort, and restore you that you may rise and fly again…

And HE said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9

True Love matures and endures…

When your love is tried by fire, let it be found true. Love that only endures the good times is not fully formed. True love goes through hell and high water and though seemingly weakened by the trial is, in actuality, forced to grow within the trial and is thereby made even healthier, sweeter, and enduring. Of course this works best when the Lord Jesus, HIS word, and Spirit are in the midst as the true anchor and unifying agent. …a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12

A love that ain’t willing to go through nuthin, ain’t much of nuthin… Don’t let trials make you quickly quit and run away. Stick and stay, put up a good and noble fight to show that your love is real.

Right shines…

All that glitters is not gold and everything that lacks a glossy shine is not necessarily without significant worth… But be advised, a right shine is a bright shine, though unnoticed by men, God sees and values its true worth. You don’t have to put on a show to glow; you just have to have the right inner fire/inspiration /purpose…

It’s My Turn

Sit back, relax, listen in
Hear what I been holding in
I been spurned, passed over
Burned and pushed over
But I learned, how to get over—it.
It hurt, but by faith, I’m healed.
I’m protected by the Father’s shield.
His favor is my force field.
I been down, folk thought I couldn’t rise
But I’m still here to many’ surprise
It’s my turn, got a mission, got a race to run
And I won’t stop, and I won’t quit ‘til I’m done
Tearing down walls, making room, building classes
Transformed, informed to reach the masses
I been gifted to help others get lifted
To be light, give love to folks that’s been sifted
The Father has anointed, appointed me
To go forth in His name and bring Him glory
While the devil be waiting on me to wilt,
God’s grace is holding me up on stilts
That I may preach Christ and Him crucified
Telling a dying world, to give life,
On the cross for our sin, Jesus died.

Lo, I AM with you.

Though long days or dark nights, whether things be well or nothing seems to go right. I AM HE, that friend til the end, the only ONE, upon whom, you can always depend. I won’t leave you, I won’t grieve you, never deceive you, but I’m ever there to relieve you. I’ll guide you, walk beside you, in trouble, I’ll hide you. Get with ME, get to know ME, you’ll like ME, love ME. I’ll take away your shame, remove all blame, and honor you by giving you a new name. I love you, always have and always will. No matter the tests of time, I’ll be loving you, still.

Random Thoughts

You need The RIGHT workout partner in the New Year for a new you – To truly walk with God, you must stop running with the devil… God tones you up, building you up righteously to everlasting life; the devil will turn you on, turn you out, and leave you alone, run down, and raggedy with no hope… The Lord God nurtures you to life, the devil drains you to death. I pray you will sign up with JESUS, HE will personally train you, change you, rearrange you, save you…I tried The MAN, and I found that HE’S alright! I am loving what HE’s done with me, in me, for me. HE gave His all that I might live.

The most potent weapon you could ever use on your opposition is your – L – O – V – E…

A GOOD SUBJECT… Keep my name in your mouth… Most of the time with us, it’s the opposite, right? Have you said in anger, “Keep my name outcha mouth!” Let it be cool for those who dislike you to talk about you. Why? THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT A GOOD SUBJECT…HELLO, somebody! While they are plotting your doom, the Father is planning your ZOOM^. When they work to tear you down, God is at work holding you up. While they are saying you ain’t never gonna be nuthin, they are already confirming that God has already made you SOMEBODY. While they have your name in their teeth, God has your name on HIS heart and mind…

They more they curse you, the more God will bless you, if you conduct yourself righteously… Therefore, Beloved, let’em talk… Pray for them for they know not what they do and YOU keep HIS NAME on your mind… I can’t hurt nobody wit my mind stayed on JESUS. I’m walkin and talking wit my mind, stayed on JESUS. I’m singin and prayin wit my mind, stayed on JESUS. Hallelu, Hallelu, Hallelujah!

No weapon formed against you shall prosper…Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Psalms 37:
1. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

Growth is awesome, invigorating, empowering, and cause for joy. The Father calls us to growth. Too many of us endeavor not, giving in for not wanting to put forth the effort, but you gotta grow—it’s God’s will. His command to be fruitful and multiply can only come through growth…

And no God is not gonna do everything. We need to make up our minds to submit to HIS leading. The only place HE leads is up to growth and prosperity, life and life more abundantly. When we follow HIM you cannot help but to grow.

But know the devil wants us to stay the same to rob us of the joy of growth, rob us of the motivation to grow, rob us of the blessedness of growth. The devil wants us repressed, distressed, and regressed.

Though the devil won’t cooperate with your plan to prosper and grow, to do better, be better..

Resist him being steadfast in the faith, be clear-headed, be vigilant. Gird yourself with the WORD. Pray in season and out of season…Make up your mind, you ain’t gonna quit until you get your breakthrough and when you get your breakthrough, be determined—I’m gonna grow some more!

Beloved, for Christ, with Christ, in Christ, let’s grow on.
